Recently, we visited Escola Pui Va in Macao to conduct a special training session for secondary school teachers in science, mathematics, and information technology. The training focused on “CE2 Education Version × BYOD × PBL,” exploring the practical application of artificial intelligence in interdisciplinary teaching and examining how AI can be integrated into instructional design, lesson preparation, and project-based learning. The aim was to help teachers improve teaching effectiveness and expand possibilities for classroom innovation.

With the theme of “bringing AI into the complete teaching process,” the training systematically unpacked how AI can be applied in real educational settings, from teachers’ lesson preparation and classroom activity design to PBL curriculum planning. Through case sharing and practical exchange, teachers gained a deeper understanding of how to use AI as a lesson-preparation assistant, instructional design tool, and interdisciplinary support platform, making lesson preparation more efficient, classroom interaction more layered, and student participation more diverse.

When AI is no longer treated as a single tool, but becomes part of a complete teaching process, the changes it brings are reflected not only in improved lesson-preparation efficiency, but also in updated classroom design thinking and transformed modes of student participation. This transformation is an important direction for the future development of educational innovation.

During this exchange, we also deeply felt the school’s strong emphasis on and support for educational innovation. The school leadership is willing to encourage teachers to explore first and support early classroom practice, demonstrating an open attitude and forward-looking vision toward AI and STEAM education. This trust and support are important forces in turning education policy into practice and enabling innovative teaching to truly happen.
