City University of Macau Team Wins the Extreme Startup Competition

The Macau Startup Club, in collaboration with the Macao Small and Medium Enterprises Wholesale and Business Convention & Exhibition sectors, held the “Extreme Startup” experiential entrepreneurship competition at the Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Centre from November 26 to 27, 2022. Students from City University of Macau achieved outstanding results, while Assistant Professor Leong Ching Han and Guest Lecturer Melody Cheng from the Faculty of Business were invited to serve as judges for the competition.

The event combined workshops with a startup competition, attracting participants from the business sector, investors, university students, and aspiring entrepreneurs. Participating entrepreneurs were required to form teams within 36 hours, refine their projects through professional entrepreneurship workshops, and finally transform their business ideas into viable business proposals.

The champion, first runner-up, and second runner-up teams were Mang Sang San Yik Team, an environmental protection project, Jai Nei Gwai Team, and Cha Wan Yu Sang Team respectively. Winning teams received a total of MOP 10,000 in prize money, along with entrepreneurship-related support.
